1. Booking, Payment, and Cancellation

A. Booking Confirmation and Payment

All tours are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment via our third-party booking system.

 

B. Guest Cancellation Policy

​The following policy applies to all standard nature tours (Hikes, Expeditions, Birding, Donkey Adventure). Note that specialty experiences, such as Jungle Cooking, may be subject to a different policy which will be specified on the booking page for that experience.

• Full Refund: Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled tour time will receive a full refund of the tour cost.

• No Refund/Reschedule Only: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled tour time are non-refundable. We will make every effort to reschedule your tour based on availability, but rescheduling is not guaranteed.

 

C. Cancellation by Natikari (Force Majeure)

Natikari reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour due to severe weather (such as intense, persistent rain), dangerous trail conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.

• If Natikari cancels a tour, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule to a later date. We are not responsible for any ancillary costs incurred by you (e.g., transportation or accommodation costs) in connection with your booking or cancellation.

2. Participant Responsibility and Safety

A. Health and Fitness

Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness level and confirming they meet the difficulty requirements for the chosen tour (e.g., "Intermediate" for Jungle Hike/Expedition).

• You must advise our staff about any medical conditions that might affect your ability to complete the tour safely. Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in your exclusion from the tour without a refund.

 

B. Guide Authority

Participants must follow the instructions and decisions of the Natikari guide at all times. The guide has the right to remove any participant from the tour who, in their opinion, is acting dangerously, creating a risk to themselves or others, or impeding the smooth operation of the tour. No refund will be issued in such cases.

 

C. Acknowledgment of Risk

You acknowledge that participation in jungle tours and nature activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, steep sections, wildlife, and natural hazards. By booking a tour, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activities.

• Donkey Safety: Our donkeys are used for trail maintenance and as companions on the Family Adventure. They are not riding animals for guests, and participants must follow strict guidelines for interacting with them.

 

D. Zero-Waste Policy & Prohibited Items

To uphold our commitment to conservation and the integrity of the private reserve, we ask all guests to adhere to our zero-waste policy and kindly request that you refrain from bringing single-use plastics into the reserve. Your cooperation helps us protect this unique ecosystem. Pets are also prohibited.

3. Limitation of Liability

Natikari, its guides, owners, and employees shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by or resulting from any act or omission by Natikari, its employees, or agents, or third parties, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

4. Intellectual Property

The content on the Natikari website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and tour descriptions, is the property of Natikari and is protected by copyright laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission.

5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.
