Rancho Verde is a hotspot for birds with its more than 120 bird species (including migrants), making it the premier birdwatching destination near Sayulita for those seeking tranquility and a rich avian experience. At Rancho Verde, where we offer exclusively guided tours, you can enjoy uninterrupted birdwatching in a serene environment. Whether you're a seasoned birder or a novice who's never held binoculars before, you'll be captivated by the diverse birdlife awaiting your discovery. We will pick you up from our meeting point in Sayulita and take you to the sanctuary. At the ranch, we’ll have ample opportunities to spot and admire a wide variety of winged residents. The habitat is divers ranging from dense jungle to a wide open space at the center of the ranch with clear views to the sky. The setting is comfortable and if you have difficulties walking - don't worry - we will hear and see a great diversity of birds from the comfort of our palapa and the garden. For those new to birdwatching, I'll provide hands-on guidance with binoculars, which I can supply for up to five people. If you're targeting specific species for your list, just let me know, and I’ll do my best to locate them for you! The tour ends with breakfast (selection of fruit, guacamole, agua fresca and of course coffee). Important details before you book: - Duration: Approximately 4 hours. - Difficulty: The walk is easy and mainly on a dirt road. - What to Wear: We recommend wearing closed shoes with non-slip soles, long trousers and a hat. - What to Bring: We provide binoculars, a quick reference guide and snacks and refreshments.
