Meet the founder and chef of El Korai, whose culinary journey is a testament to passion and flavor. Born and raised in Bangladesh, his culinary roots are steeped in the authentic spice and complexity of South Asian cuisine. He moved to Canada at age 19 to study, and it was there, driven by a craving, that his life's mission began.
His inspiration comes directly from his mother, who guided him through his very first curry over a two-hour phone call. That single meal—shared with fellow international students—ignited a life-long mission: to feed people and spread happiness through bold flavors.
What started as self-taught dedication quickly evolved with experience in professional South Asian kitchens in Toronto. After perfecting his craft, the chef was drawn back to Mexico, a country he fell in love with during his first visit in 2014. Making the move to Sayulita in 2023, he now blends his expertise in Authentic Asian Cuisine with the vibrant, fresh ingredients of Mexico. His philosophy is simple: anyone can be a chef if the passion is there. He is here to give you the bold flavors and confidence you need to start your own culinary adventure.
